Don’t accept “impossible”.
“The odds are never impossible, merely improbable”.
That may be a sweeping statement but it is a useful mindset to instill in your organisation. Don’t accept that a problem is impossible to solve or an opportunity is impossible to win. Approach them as improbable but not impossible. Examine the options and if it is found to be not worth the effort to solve or win then that is fine. But don’t accept an assumption of “impossible” because then the bar for “impossible” slips lower and lower as it never gets challenged. It simply becomes easier to just keep doing what we always did.
And this is a bit of a fun post. A quote I came across from a Star Wars Character. So I filed it away for a post today. May the Fourth be with you.
